Ms. Cougill is a trial attorney with more than 25 years of experience handling the defense of a wide array of cases throughout Texas. She has represented major corporations in a wide variety of industries including oil and gas companies, healthcare facilities, energy and utility companies, sporting goods companies, refineries, commercial businesses, financial institutions and automobile dealerships. She has experience in both state and federal courts and has tried cases ranging from simple automobile accidents to complex multi-party cases. 

Ms. Cougill has extensive experience representing insurance companies and their insureds, as well as other self-insured corporate and individual clients in cases involving first and third-party claims, premises liability litigation, products liability litigation, general commercial litigation, automobile/trucking litigation, construction litigation, foreclosure matters and probate litigation.  She is an accomplished litigator who is adept at handling cases in state and federal courts from inception of the case through trial.  

Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Cougill is an active member of the community. She is currently an active member of the Yellow Rose Chapter of the National Charity League and serves as the philanthropy liaison for Abandoned Animal Rescue (AAR). She previously served as the philanthropy liaison for the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and the Pearl Fincher Museum. 

She is a former Girl Scout Community Leadership Team member and a former Girl Scout troop leader. She has also held numerous board positions with various Parent Teacher Organizations, including Vice President, Membership, Vice President, Fundraising and most recently, President and Immediate Past President.
